Like a drowned angel imprinted on a timeless crystal shard I saw her suspended there, flowing tendrils sweeping past and rainbow pearls clinging to her hair. As I approached, she lovingly beckoned; ivory arms soflty outstretched in the air. What have I ever done to deserve the affections of a vision such as fair? For my soul her eyes did much to entangle and beguile, but only the closer I came to that perfect diaphanous frame did I notice that terrible hungry smile...
Quicksilver swift she had me wrapped in a pinch within her bowels of pulsing pain. Nevermore shall I wander freely throughout the world above again.
And now, as I feel my flesh slowly melting away with my failing eyes I see the glowing face of my fatal love grinning back sweetly.
With just one look this swimming siren reduced me to my knees and for my folly here I shall I forever remain; alongside my beloved vagrant of the seas.
EDIT: My thanks go to and for their advice on how to improve the picture. It looks so much better now!
BONIIIITAAA! Wonderful job, Val! ^-^ You could make the top lighter though in the bg so that the lady stands out more. The values are close to one another so she nearly gets lost in the bg but not completely.
Thanks for the fave and advice, Rose! As you can see, I tried it out and it turned out much better than I could have hoped (although I also kept a version of the darker one, because I still like it that way)! Thankies!

This is a collection of deviations showing real Pinups in the classic Retro poses from various Artists. For the 4rd time I present a variation of Vintage Pinup Queens as well as fresh modern Pinup art. If you love Polkadots, seamed Nylons, Plateau-Heels and and Miles-long-legs you should not miss this collection.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Love the gradient effect on the background to give the image the illusion of depth. Love the character especially her colouring!
Great job
